Dazzle Muzzle goes outdoors!
On December 12, 2024, we invite you to an extension of the exhibition Dazzle Muzzle in Pavillon am Milchhof, featuring new works by Kirsten Palz and Jeroen Jacobs.
The new outdoor edition starts a dialogue with the current exhibition through anthropomorphic objects and synthetic components.
In recent years, Kirsten Palz has focused on themes of extinction and global warming. As part of her series Chronicle of Extinction, the new video work IMPACT conveys the consequences of chemical engineering, capitalism, and modern technology that shape exploitative material use. Nature is viewed as a time-based asset for consumption, in which linear processes of exploitation and terminal contamination of landscapes take place.
Jeroen Jacobs is currently working on a series of sculptures in which hollow, space-encompassing volumes are created using flexible plastic foils. In these works, the limited controllable waviness of the material becomes a central sculptural parameter. Here he develops an improvisational language that places the fluctuation between form and loss of form at the centre of the sculptural praxis. In their size and through the material's own dynamics, anthropomorphic-looking objects emerge in which representationalism and abstraction overlap.
Dazzle Muzzle permanent exhibit features the works of Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez and Matti Blind and is on view 24 hours a day from
22.11.2024 to 05.01.2025
