In der Ausstellung Focus On Abstraction im Pavillon des Milchhof zeigt Carlos Silva seine neuesten Werke mit dem Titel Colourtecture.

Eine Reihe von Gemälden wird auf modulare Weise präsentiert. Das kleinste Modul misst ca. 50 x 50 cm. Sämtliche Module wurden mit einem 10cm breiten Pinsel kreiert, welche so einen chromatischen Baustein innerhalb des Gesamtgefüges bilden. Diese können auf verschiedene Weise aneinander gefügt werden, um durch mehrere Farbkombinationen ihre Erscheinung und Wirkung zu verändern. Dieses Gesamtgemälde bedeckt die Länge der Galeriewände und wird eins mit seiner räumlichen Umgebung. Die rechteckige Geometrie wird durch zwei große gemalte Kreise, welche jeweils am Ende des Raumes installiert sind, unterbrochen. Im Resultat entsteht eine chromatische Erfahrung der ausgestellten Werke im Zusammenhang ihrer unmittelbaren, räumlichen, architektonischen Umgebung.

For the Focus On Abstraction exhibition at the Milchhof Pavillon, Carlos Silva presents his latest works under the title Colourtecture. The series of paintings is created by the use of a modular system. The smallest module is about 50 x 50 cm. All of them have been painted with a 10cm-wide brush in order to create a chromatic building block within the painting. These can be attached to one another, to create the sense of an urban setting that is constantly changing its appearance due to differing colour combinations. The module itself goes along and across the gallery walls conforming to its immediate spatial environment. The rectangular geometry will be interrupted by two painted wheels mounted at either end of the room. The result is a chromatic experience that plays with the perceptions of their spatial environment within which they are exhibited.
